This is not just another devotional - it’s spiritual survival training for today’s world. Anchored by the Word in Troubled Times is a 7-day journey designed to ground you in God’s Word while the world around you shakes. Whether you’re feeling weary, overwhelmed, angry at injustice, or just spiritually flat, this series is your invitation to reset, refocus, and rise again.

Each meditation meets real-life head-on: from anxiety and burnout to injustice, identity, contentment, and spiritual exhaustion. But you won’t walk away with surface encouragement - you’ll leave each day anchored in truth, stretched by challenge, and stirred into deeper trust.

Key Insights from the Series

Day 1: In Troubled Time - Be Still When It Doesn’t Make Sense

In a world full of chaos, God doesn’t tell us to escape. He tells us to be still. Stillness isn’t passivity — it’s power under pressure.

Reflection: Have you confused motion with peace?

Call to Action: Silence the noise and sit in God’s presence until your inner world aligns with who He is — not what’s happening.

Day 2: Too Broke to Believe

When you're drowning in bills, behind on rent, or stretched thin, it's hard to believe for provision. But God doesn’t need your numbers to add up. He just needs your trust.

Reflection: Have you made your bank balance louder than God's promise?

Call to Action: Speak faith in the middle of financial strain: “I may be broke, but I’m not broken. Jehovah Jireh is still my source.”

Day 3: Justice in an Unjust World

Justice is not a cultural trend. It’s God’s nature. We are called to live justly, not just tweet about it. God isn’t looking for performance - He’s calling for participation.

Reflection: Where in your life have you been quiet when God is asking for courage?

Call to Action: Speak up for those overlooked. Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly — even when it’s not easy.

Day 4: Run with the Horses

If everyday life is wearing you down, what will happen when the pace picks up? God’s not punishing you, He’s preparing you. Resilience is being built in real time.

Reflection: Are you reacting like you’re in survival mode when God is calling you to train for more?

Call to Action: Stop asking for escape. Start asking for endurance.

Day 5: Contentment - The Hardest Lesson You’ll Ever Learn

Paul wrote about peace in a prison cell. Not because he had everything, but because he knew Who he had. Contentment isn’t complacency - it’s confidence that Christ is enough.

Reflection: What have you believed you need that God may be withholding for your growth?

Call to Action: Catch comparison in the act. Speak gratitude instead of grumbling.

Day 6: My Hiding Place is My Healing Place

The secret place isn’t a myth, it’s the sacred space where God rewires your soul. Not everything holy happens in public. Some healing happens in the hidden.

Reflection: Are you afraid of what stillness might reveal?

Call to Action: Dwell, don’t just visit. Let silence become your sanctuary.

Day 7: From the Secret Place to the Seated Place

You weren’t raised to merely survive - you were raised to reign. You are already seated with Christ, but you must start thinking, praying, and living like it.

Reflection: Are you praying from the ground or from your position in Christ?

Call to Action: Stop begging for scraps. Speak as one who is already seated in heavenly places.

Final Word: You’re Not Just Anchored to Survive - You’re Anchored to Lead

This series reminds you that stability isn’t found in your surroundings, it’s found in your Saviour. God doesn’t anchor you to keep you still — He anchors you so you can stand up in storms, speak out in injustice, run when it’s hard, rest when it hurts, and rise when it looks impossible.

You may feel worn out — but you’re not worn down. You’re anchored. And because you’re anchored, you will not drift.

About My Purpose!

Untitled design (56)_edited.jpg

I don’t just work in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion - I’m sent. My role as an EDI consultant is an assignment, not a career move. I’ve been positioned as a prophet in the marketplace to expose injustice, confront systems that oppress, and call leaders back to truth, righteousness, and accountability. My work disrupts comfort, challenges culture, and builds spaces where dignity is not a favour, but a right. This is not strategy for me - it’s stewardship. The daily meditations I share are part of that calling - the guidance God gives me in prayer, which I’m honoured to pass on. They’re not just reflections. they’re revelation for anyone bold enough to walk it out. Let's keep walking in obedience.

Remember ...

When you can’t fix it, pray. When you don’t understand it, pray. And when they’ve stopped praying for themselves - pray harder.
